Homeopathy Offers Effective, Safe, and Lasting Relief for Chronic Relapsing Urticaria

A 34-year-old female police constable with chronic urticaria since childhood experienced rapid spreading hives and angioedema triggered by IVF. Conventional treatments provided only temporary relief. A 34-year-old female patient, Ms. B. D. (PIN: 50472) with the reference of her father taking treatment from Life Force, approached us with multiple complaints such as Urticaria, Melasma, and an Underactive Thyroid on 24th January 2023. She was suffering from urticaria since the age of 8 and had hives all over her body that used to get better with antihistamines. She was most distressed and concerned about her urticaria complaint.

She tried many treatments for urticaria but was unfruitful; it would go into remission for some time and relapse after stopping the treatment. Before visiting Life Force also tried panchakarma, but it didn't help her. So, after observing improvement in her father’s psoriasis after taking Life Force’s medicines she decided to visit us on 24th January 2023 and started the treatment for her urticaria. Her current urticarial episode was triggered by IVF treatment, which she had undergone a month back. She was given dietary recommendations along with the medicine for better healing.

She also had other health issues such as an underactive thyroid and melasma for which she was having conventional medicine daily since 2018.

She had suffered from COVID-19 the last year.The patient had a strong family history of autoimmune diseases in her family, where her father had psoriasis and her uncle had urticaria.

During the episode, she used to get raised erythematous rashes along with angioedema where eyes and lips are involved with redness, burning, and heat sensation in the rashes. Urticaria was spreading very rapidly in the last month.

Physical Generals

The patient was very sober and confident. She was working in the police department as a police constable and lived with her family in Dadar. She was a nonvegetarian who loved sweets and fish.

Psychological and Family Make-Up

She had a good childhood with supportive parents. The patient was worried about infertility, as she was trying to conceive and had suffered 3 accidental abortions; so, she opted for IVF treatment which further aggravated her urticaria.

At Life Force

The case was analyzed and studied by Dr. Rajesh Shah, and he prescribed Carcinosinum 10M along with his research-based molecules were prescribed to the patient.

Follow-Ups

When the patient came for a follow-up on 6th March 2023, she said that her urticaria had reduced in terms of frequency and severity. She had no episodes of angioedema in the last 6 weeks. The patient was very much impressed with the way the medicine has worked and made her life better.

In the next follow-up on 11th April 2023, the patient told the doctor that the frequency had reduced even more but the lesions stayed for a little longer but were getting better on their own. Now, she can have things that triggered her urticaria earlier. The patient had stopped the antihistamine tablets completely after the last follow-up.

At the follow-up taken on 9th June 2023, the patient mentioned that she was 90% better with no rashes in the last 25-30 days and that this has happened after a long time. She was very happy and satisfied with the treatment she received at Life Force and thankful to Dr. Shah. She is continuing the treatment so that the relapse can be prevented.
