She visited the Chembur clinic of Lifeforce Homeopathy on the 9th of February 2023 and started her treatment for her skin condition diagnosed as eczema. She was also lactose intolerant and was following the required diet for the same.

Eczema is a chronic skin condition that causes inflammation, redness, and itching. It often begins in childhood but can affect people of any age. Eczema is characterized by dry, itchy skin that may be accompanied by red, swollen, or cracked patches.

Physical Generals

A detailed case history was taken. She had eczematous lesions on both eyelids, which were steroid-masked, as she was using Ointment Clobetasol for 5–6 days. She also was lactose intolerant, with a good appetite, and a non-vegetarian by diet. She had less water as she had decreased thirst and intolerance for both cold and hot weather.

Very ambitious and self-challenging by nature and very conscious about her presentation and appearance to the world, her eczema bothered her. Considering her family history of eczema, her father and her grandfather both suffered from eczema. She was married to a lawyer and had a stressful period before her marriage, which might have triggered her eczema.

She had a history of infections like chickenpox and herpes zoster.She was suggested some blood tests, and also the scope of homeopathy in her disease was explained, and she was advised some dietary changes to help with better recovery.

She met Dr. Shah, and after studying her case and examining her, Dr. Shah prescribed CARCINOSINUM 30.

Follow-Ups

Her 1st follow-up was taken on 7th April 2023. She had a flare-up of the lesions , with itching and dryness, but the lesions settled in 4–5 days. She had taken medicines for COVID-19, after which the flare-up happened.In the next 2–3 follow-ups, she was much better with no relapses.

But in the follow-up done in October 2023, she said she had a flare-up due to using a new eye makeup product, but the intensity was much better and got better in 1–2 days.In the next 5–6 follow-ups, she was stable with a mild flare-up but was better in a day.

In the follow-up done on January 25, she reported a flare-up with inflammation and itching in the area affected after using eyeliner. As per the case, the medicines were revised.No relapses were seen after January, even after using the eye makeup products. She is continuing the treatment for complete recovery and to prevent relapses.
