A 17-year-old female patient (Patient ID: 44007) presented with complaints of migraine that she had been suffering from for the past 1.5 to 2 years. The condition progressively worsened around October 2020, which was due to a significant increase in her screen time due to studies. Initially, the frequency of headaches increased to once every 1–2 days from August 2020. Before this period, she had not experienced migraine episodes, as she was on allopathic treatment. Her migraine attacks were characterized by severe, one-sided pain predominantly affecting the left side of her head, including the left cheek, left eye, and left occipital region. The duration of each episode ranged from 6 to 8 hours, accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, heaviness in the left eye, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to noise, and noticeable gastric disturbances.

The common triggers for her migraines include overuse of electronic screens, lack of adequate sleep, irregular daily routine, sun exposure, and heat. Her symptoms were ameliorated after consuming aerated drinks or applying a tight bandage to her head. She had a history of taking allopathic medicines: Tranquilar (for six months), Pantocid 40 (for six months), and Flunarizine (for two months), all of which were stopped by 2020.

Associated complaints, she suffers from PCOD as well. Since menarche, her menstrual cycles were irregular, and she had a known history of imperforated hymen, which was surgically corrected in April 2018. Since June 2018, she has been on hormonal medication to induce menstruation.
